TRAVEL UPDATE: Contra Costa County has reinstated its mask mandate, regardless of vaccination status. All guests are required to wear masks indoors when in common areas of the hotel or interacting with team members. We are open and committed to providing you a clean and safe stay.

We are currently offering housekeeping services on stays of four days or more, with towels refreshed on request. 


Check-in is between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Please call as soon as possible to inquire about early check-in and late check-out as we do our best to accommodate requests.. Check-out is 11:00 am. 


Transient Occupancy Tax of 8.5% is charged on the room rate only. The Tourism Business Improvement District tax of 3% is also charged, per day.


To guarantee your reservation, we require a deposit equal to the first night’s charge, plus tax, at time of booking. If the credit card is declined, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without notice. Up to $200 per room/per stay deposit will be authorized at check-in and will be removed after check-out following assessment of the guestroom, if no damages occur. If damages occur or additional deep cleaning required the deposit will be forfeited by the guest and additional charges may be incurred.


Please note that there is a two-day cancellation policy and any cancellation should be made by 6pm two days prior to arrival to receive your initial deposit back minus a $10 processing fee. If your reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of your arrival, then you will forfeit the initial one night deposit charge, including taxes. 

Reservations made within 48 hours of the arrival date are considered non-refundable. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and do not check-in on the day of arrival will forfeit their entire deposit and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled. Guests must contact the inn directly over the telephone to cancel a reservation. A cancellation cannot be made via email, fax or voicemail. Please ensure to make note of the cancellation number.


Groups requiring three or more rooms at a time are considered a Group Reservation. Group reservations cannot be made online. Reservations that are made with a group booking are subject to a longer cancellation policy and require a non-refundable deposit. This will be stated on your confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact the manager about your cancellation policy. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and reserved their guestroom through a third party site are subject to a no-show charge equal to the entire stay.


Guests will be required to present a valid, government issued, picture identification at check-in that matches the guest name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom. If someone other than the guest on the reservation will be paying the folio charges, a Credit Card Authorization form is required and must be on file prior to check-in. Please contact the hotel for a credit card authorization form and instructions. The credit card used to pay online must be presented at check-in and a security deposit of up to $200 will be authorized, in addition to room rate.


Diablo Mountain Inn is 100% smoke-free. Please do not smoke in any of the guestrooms or within 25 feet of the building (including vapor cigarettes). If smoking occurs, there will be a minimum $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy.


Diablo Mountain Inn has a few dog-friendly guestrooms. If you are interested in bringing your dog, advance reservations as well as a flat fee is required. Please click here for additional information. Guests who bring a dog to the hotel without making an advance reservation or notifying the staff will be subject to a $200 charge. Please know we strictly enforce this policy. If you are interested in bringing your pet, please call the hotel directly to review the policy and inquire if the pet-friendly guestroom is available during your dates of stay.


Room rates are based on double occupancy. If there is an additional guest (over the age of eleven) staying in the room, there will be a $10 extra person nightly charge. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply rollaway beds or cots.


We welcome families and children. For your comfort, please speak with the innkeeper directly to determine the best room to accommodate your family. Quiet hours must be observed for the comfort of all in the hotel. Children, ages eleven and under, stay free. Travel cribs are available for an additional $10 per stay fee and must be requested prior to check-in (we cannot guaranteed availability).


Guests who need to check-out earlier than expected from the hotel should notify the front desk by 6:00 pm, two days before departure.


Burning candles and incense is not allowed due to the potential fire hazard. Please do not light anything in your guestroom. If flames or smoke of any kind are detected, you will be liable for the entire amount of damage.


Debit and credit cards will be charged at time of booking for one night, plus tax and charged the remaining amount due at check-in. Debit cards and prepaid credit cards are treated the same as cash and require additional deposits. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.


If paying with cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and up to $200 will be collected at check-in. If you bring a pet, an additional deposit may be required.
