CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-in is between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Please call as soon as possible to inquire about early check-in and late check-out as we do our best to accommodate requests. Check-out is 11:00 am.
OCCUPANCY AND LOCAL TAX
Transient Occupancy Tax of 8.5% is charged on the room rate only. The Tourism Business Improvement District tax of 3% is also charged, per day.
CREDIT CARD GUARANTEE & PAYMENT – ONE NIGHT CHARGED THREE DAYS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL
A valid credit card is required upon booking to guarantee your reservation, and a deposit equal to the average nightly rate, plus tax, will be charged in the morning three days before arrival. If the credit card is declined three days before arrival, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without notice. At check-in, the credit card holder will need to present the credit card used to make the reservation. Upon departure, if there are no additional charges, our system will notify your bank that we have released this hold. A $100 deposit will be authorized at check-in and removed after check-out following an assessment of the guestroom if no damage or disturbance occurs. If damage or disturbances occur or additional deep cleaning is required, the deposit will be forfeited, and additional charges may be incurred.
FLEXIBLE 2 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY
Our most flexible cancellation policy: Reservations cancelled by 2 p.m., two days before arrival, can be cancelled free of charges or fees. If you cancel your reservation after 2 p.m., within 48 hours of your arrival date, you will be charged for one night, equal to your average nightly rate, plus taxes and fees. Reservations made within 48 hours of the arrival date are considered non-refundable. Should you need to cancel your reservation, please call the hotel directly and write down your cancellation number. Cancellation requests cannot be made via email, fax, text, or voicemail.
Please note: If you fail to arrive for your reservation on the original arrival date – and do not call to notify us of any changes to your arrival dates – you will be subject to a no-show fee equal to the entire stay and the reservation will be canceled.
VALID IDENTIFICATION
Guests are required to present a valid government-issued photo identification at check-in that matches the name on the reservation and credit card.
ORIGINAL CREDIT CARD TO BE PRESENTED AT CHECK-IN
We require a valid credit card on file to guarantee and pay for your reservation, including a $100 pre-authorization fee. If paying the hotel directly, the credit card holder must be present at check-in and have valid identification. Depending on the booking rate and channel, your card may be charged for your stay in advance. The applicable policy will be referenced when booking and noted on your confirmation.
PRE-AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED
On the morning of your arrival, your card will be charged for any remaining balance and pre-authorized for $100 for incidentals. Upon check-out, if there are no additional charges, our system will notify your bank that we have released the $100 pre-authorization amount.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Guests with a confirmed reservation understand and agree to be financially responsible, subject to the noted cancellation policy, for the entire length of stay reserved, including all incidentals charged and any property damage due to guest negligence.
DEBIT CARD USE
If you choose to use a debit card to guarantee and pay for your stay, your bank will automatically hold additional funds, beyond the expected amount due, in an effort to cover any incidental charges. We have no control over the amount your bank will hold or when the funds will be released back to your account. Please check with your bank for further information
CASH AND CHECKS
If you wish to pay with cash, you may do so upon arrival, however, a credit card pre-authorization, or cash deposit of $100 is required for incidentals. We apologize for any inconvenience but we do not accept checks.
GROUP RESERVATIONS
Groups requiring three or more rooms at a time are considered a Group Reservation. Group reservations cannot be made online. Reservations that are made with a group booking are subject to a longer cancellation policy and require a non-refundable deposit. This will be stated on your confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact the manager about your cancellation policy.
SMOKE-FREE
Diablo Mountain Inn is 100% smoke-free. Please do not smoke in any of the guestrooms or within 25 feet of the building (including vapor cigarettes). If smoking occurs in or near guestrooms, there will be a minimum $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy.
DOG-FRIENDLY
Diablo Mountain Inn has a few dog-friendly guestrooms. If you are interested in bringing your dog, advance reservations as well as a nightly fee is required. Please click here for additional information. Guests who bring a dog to the hotel without making an advance reservation or notifying the staff will be subject to a $200 charge. Please know we strictly enforce this policy. If you are interested in bringing your pet, please call the hotel directly to review the policy and inquire if the pet-friendly guestroom is available during your dates of stay. Service animals are always welcome but do require declaration at check-in.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS
Room rates are based on double occupancy. If there is an additional guest (over the age of eleven) staying in the room, there will be a $10 extra person nightly charge. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply rollaway beds or cots.
CHILDREN WELCOME
We welcome families and children. For your comfort, please speak with the innkeeper directly to determine the best room to accommodate your family. Quiet hours are from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and must be observed for the comfort of all in the hotel. Children, ages eleven and under, stay free. Travel cribs are available on a first come, first served basis for an additional $10 per stay fee and must be requested 24-hours before arrival.
EARLY DEPARTURE FEE
Guests who need to check-out earlier than expected from the hotel should notify the front desk by 11 am on the day they wish to depart. If original dates are canceled within 48-hours there will be an additional charge for one night, equal to your average nightly rate, plus taxes and fees. Please know that nightly rates will be recalculated if the original reservation includes a discount for an extended length of stay that is no longer applicable.
CANDLES
Burning candles or incense is not allowed due to the potential fire hazard. Please do not light anything in your guestroom. If flames or smoke of any kind are detected, you will be liable for the entire amount of the damage plus a $200 fee.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our hotel has been inspected by a California Certified Access Specialist and has one ADA-accessible guestroom and two hearing impaired guestrooms. Please click here for more information.
